i also have rib flare and it’s more prominent on my left ribs. i don’t care about burning fat, im 5’2, 110 lbs, and my waist is about 24.25 inches and hips about 35.70 inches with hip dips (high hips) (not sure what info matters but i figured i would provide it just in case). when i had a job i would almost black out from the pain after just an hour. i have been in bed most my life besides school but now that im 22 i don’t have that to keep me walking and i can’t physically have a job because i have no core muscle so my back hurts even if i’m just washing like 15 dishes by hand. it’s so hard to find stuff on google for some reason. Hi! sorry i see it’s been a year since you posted this but i was wondering if you know more exercises to tighten specifically the abdominal girdle? i want to avoid working my obliques too much but i know they will still be worked, but i really want to focus on tightening the ab girdle. I’m genuinely interested! Thanks in advance for being the most fact based sub I’ve ever come across. If you guys have any experience with exercises that claim to slim your waist, legs, or anything else please let me know! And feel free to completely school me in the comments. I read online somewhere (I know, incredible source) that your ribcage expands with weight gain and there’s fat between your ribs that may be making your waist circumference bigger? But this sounds really sketchy to me. I feel like no matter how hard I pull on the measuring tape it never gets any smaller than like… 24”. I’d like to lose inches around my waist (it’s 25ish right now but I’m aiming for 22-23”) but I’m not sure if that’s even possible with exercises like crunches, planks, russian twists, etc, or even in general. I thought that it wasn’t possible to spot reduce like that? But what do I know. I want to start doing muscle strengthening exercises too, but all the videos I find talk about getting smaller waists, smaller thighs, smaller arms, and more. I’ve been losing weight for about a year and a half now and I’m 50lbs down with the help of advice I’ve gotten from this sub! I reached my original goal weight, but I think I still want to lose 10-15lbs more. This sub tends to have the most consistently correct info though, so I am here with a dumb question. I feel so stupid asking this, but I find so much conflicting information online.
